Breakfast is always special. Not only are you enjoying the culinary talents of your host, but you get to meet and greet the other guests. Sometimes you'll meet people from the other side of the globe or run into an old high school chum you haven't seen in 25 years! Usually the menu is the same for all. Some places can accommodate special dietary requests, but I would advise asking when making your reservation. Automobile/Airline Adapters: There have been a few instances of airline power adapters not working with in-seat power sources. This can happen when an adapter is required to produce the fully rated 70 watts to fast charge the internal laptop battery but the in-seat power system is not designed to produce that much power. With an adapter efficiency of 90%, the 70-watt load tries to pull 78 watts from the in-seat power unit, and it safely shuts down. The safety circuits in the adapter also sense the overload and also safely shut down. There are some bed and breakfasts that accept babies and very young children. Most don't. Usually the cut off age is 7+. A bed and breakfast is normally not child proofed (unless a special room or cottage is available for families), and really not appropriate for very young children. Most folks who go to bed and breakfasts are looking for some peace and quiet. I can't vouch for everyone, but once you try it you'll never go back! Bed and breakfasts are great places for women traveling alone. They are also lovely and different places for small weddings,.
Almost all bed and breakfasts offer complimentary refreshments and a fridge in a common area to keep things cold, but don't allow eating in the rooms. So if you're not sure what is permitted, please ask. In Australia, the least expensive way to see the country and stay overnight is by renting a car and staying at coach camps (these are private campgrounds around the country). These campgrounds have coaches or camp-trailers for rent by the night or any length of time you wish to stay while seeing the sights around the area. Each camp-trailer has a comfortable bed, all the cooking utensils needed as well as coffee/tea pots, toaster, etc., plus a washroom. The cost for these stays is less than a motel or hotel or bed & breakfast. You get help from the owner or your fellow campers on road conditions, things to see and do, and shopping. We self-toured for 2 months doing this trip around Australia. If we had stayed in conventional housing and ate in restaurants all the time, we could have only stayed 3 weeks.Take Care Of Your Cabin Steward new. One of your best friends on the cruise will be your Cabin Steward. He, or she, will do an excellent job of making up your cabin twice a day and generally taking.
Trying to do too much is the most common planning error. A 10-day itinerary calls for a maximum of 4 destinations - a 14-day itinerary suggests 6. And, try to plan your route for less than 4 hours of travel time to the next destination - by car or train. If you are traveling to the Caribbean after a hurricane has been there, check with the tourist board or individual hotels before planning your visit. The island may have sustained damage, and your accommodations may not be what you expected. Before you take everything you own when you go away, ask what amenities are already available - such as bicycles, beach chairs, towels, etc. Also, ask what might be available to rent nearby - from kayaks and ski equipment to hot air balloons.
